Creamer Media launches new IN FOCUS video and podcast series
Creamer Media is expanding its multimedia offering with the launch of IN FOCUS, a new long-form video and podcast series aimed at providing deeper insight into the forces shaping industry, mining, infrastructure and energy. The inaugural IN FOCUS series, going live in June 2026, will offer expert insights on Copper and the Next Phase of Mining Growth.
Subscribers to Engineering News and Mining Weekly will be able to log in and receive early access to the full Copper and the Next Phase of Mining Growth series from launch day. Those who are not currently subscribing can CLICK HERE to make use of a special subscription offer to gain early access to the full series.
All readers, both subscribers and non-subscribers, should CLICK HERE to register to receive episode reminders, release information, viewing updates and related IN FOCUS content from Creamer Media.
IN FOCUS is intended to provide audiences with more in-depth and forward-looking discussions that remain relevant beyond the immediate news cycle. IN FOCUS will feature editorially guided discussions with industry leaders, analysts, policymakers and technical experts, examining the strategic issues influencing key sectors of the economy.
The series will be distributed across Engineering News Online, MiningWeekly.com, Creamer Media’s YouTube channels, podcast platforms and social media presence.
The launch reflects growing demand from audiences for longer-form content that unpacks complex industry developments in greater detail.
“In many sectors, there are important structural shifts taking place that cannot always be fully explored through traditional reporting formats alone,” says Creamer Media Publishing Editor Martin Creamer. “IN FOCUS creates a platform where industry participants can discuss the broader trends, investment themes, policy developments and technological changes shaping key sectors.”
Creamer Media’s IN FOCUS series on Copper and the Next Phase of Mining Growth is being produced in partnership with Harmony Gold Mining Company and will explore the rapidly evolving global copper market.
The multi-part series will examine topics including copper demand linked to electrification and digital infrastructure, the challenge of developing new copper supply, exploration and future resource pipelines, as well as the growing trend among mining companies to diversify portfolios toward future-facing commodities.
The series will also include a strategic interview with Harmony leadership regarding the vision behind the company’s expansion into copper.
“The copper series reflects exactly the type of thematic, industry-focused discussions that IN FOCUS aims to deliver,” says Creamer. “Copper is increasingly recognised as one of the key metals underpinning electrification, renewable energy systems, power grids, electric vehicles and AI and digital infrastructure. At the same time, questions are growing around future supply, investment requirements and the ability of the mining industry to meet long-term demand growth.”
Additional IN FOCUS series are already being developed across a range of sectors, including energy, water infrastructure, manufacturing, rail reform and logistics, with further topics expected to be added over time.
The intention is for each series to focus on a clearly defined strategic theme and bring together a range of expert voices to provide audiences with informed perspectives on the opportunities and challenges shaping the sector.
The launch forms part of Creamer Media’s broader expansion of its digital and multimedia offering, as audiences increasingly consume content across multiple platforms and formats.
All IN FOCUS episodes will remain permanently accessible on Creamer Media’s platforms, allowing viewers and listeners to engage with the content over time.
Creamer says the platform is expected to evolve into a long-term thought-leadership initiative spanning multiple sectors relevant to Creamer Media’s audience across a wide range of industries.
“We see IN FOCUS becoming an important extension of our existing editorial offering,” he says. “It provides an opportunity to explore major industry developments in greater depth while giving audiences direct access to the insights and perspectives of industry leaders and specialists.”
